Components of computer

All Computer system performed the following 5 Basic operation for converting Raw input data into Information, Which is useful furthers user. This operation are as under:

1) Inputting: The process of entering data and instruction into the computer system is called inputting. 

2) Storing: Saving data and Instructions to make them really available for essential and additional processing as and when required called Storing. (keep or accumulate (something) for future use.)

3) Processing: Performing arithmetic operation (such as: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division etc.) or logical operations (such as comparisons like equal to less than, greater then, etc) on data to convert them into useful information is called processing. 

4) Outputting: The Process of producing useful information or Results for the user, Such as a Printed report or Visual Display is called Outputting.

5) Controlling: Directing the manner and sequence in which all the above mentioned operation are perform is called controlling. 

Components of Computer

According to the above 5 basic operation of a computer system. There are 5 major building blanks or functioning units or components of a digital computer system. This 5 units correspond to the 5 Basic operations performed by all computer system. The organisation of computer system containing this 5 five components can be illustrated from the Following Diagram.

Hence, The 5 Basic component of a computer system are as under:
1) Input Unit
2) Output Unit
3) Storage Unit

4) Arithmetic logic unit (ALU)

5) Control Unit

1. Input Unit: Data and Instruction must entered the computer system before any computation can be performed on the supplied data. This task is performs by the input unit which links the external environment with the computer system. Data and Instruction enter input unit in forms which depend upon the particular devices used. (such as keyboard or mouse scanner) regardless of the form in which the received there inputs, All input Devices must transform the input data into the Binary codes, Which the primary memory of a computer is design accept this transformation is accomplished by units called  ''Input Interfaces'' Input Interfaces are Designed to match the unique physical or electrical characteristics of input devices, to the requirements of the computer system.
